OutlookSync development has ceased. Version 1.6 is free for personal use.
Curosoft has decided to make OutlookSync free for personal use. That means you can use the download version forever on as many machines as you'd like - including your work computer. If you're an IT professional installing for a client, or if you'd like to resell OutlookSync, we still ask that you pay for a per-seat registration.
This latest version of OutlookSync includes numerous bug fixes and enhancements to previous versions. If you have 1.4 or earlier, or if you have never tried OutlookSync before - we recommend downloading this version. It is tested and all current
features are stable for use. All datatypes feature full synchronization EXCEPT eMail - which we currently only read (MS makes it almost impossible for us to write them).
At this point in time, there are no plans for further development of the product. We will not be extending support to Outlook 2007 or later. The product just hasn't been economically viable. If you represent a large corporate account, we'd be willing to revisit that decision with you. We're also happy to entertain discussions regarding a sale of the OutlookSync codebase.
If you'd like to support the work that went into building this product, registering OutlookSync will provide you with a registration
key that will allow you to run OutlookSync on as many machines
as you'd like with a personalized main window. Because of the decision to cease development on the product, there's no functional difference any more between the registered and unregistered versions. Our fully functional trial version can now be used forever. Download and try it today, free. It is not crippled in any way.
Features: · Synchronizes Contacts, Notes, Tasks and Calendar between Outlook on multiple different machines. · Pulls all eMail from each Outlook instance so eMail can be read away from machine. · Synchronizes data from all personal folders and subfolders within Outlook. · Data is stored in a small file. This file is the only thing that
must be transferred between machines to keep them in sync. · File can be carried back and forth on a small USB keychain hard-drive
(that's how we do it here) · File could also be e-mailed between computers, or placed in a
commonly accessible network location · Duplicate Data Detection and Removal - most synchronization applications
create duplicate entries and require a user to manually remove them.
OutlookSync is able to find and remove them for you automatically
(though we do rely on the user to request this service through a
menu - as we'd never delete data without being instructed to do
so). · Full UI for accessing and modifying data. You can view your data
on any machine, even if you haven't synchronized it to Outlook on
that machine. · Full conflict resolution. OutlookSync detects when an item has
been modified on two or more machines and allows you to choose one
change to override the other, or to keep the item unsynchronized.
Features in Development: · Help file and documentation. · Full eMail synchronization. · Better GUI for calendar (appointment) support. Calendar (appointment)
synchronization works - but the user interface is still being developed/improved. · Ability to configure synchronization options ( Ex: only syncronize incomplete tasks ) · Ability to specify which Outlook folders to synchronize from (
right now application synchronizes all of them ) · Better threading support - the ability to cancel a synchronization
